This course will explore symphonic literature of all style periods. It will involve rigorous practice and performance preparation. Appropriate performance attire will be required.
This course strives to apply previous knowledge and experience to ensemble participation and progress to achieve a common goal of being the best orchestra we can be. Knowledge and technique on our individual instruments will be utilized to ensure success in Orchestra as well as personal growth and satisfaction. This orchestra is designed for advanced students with 5+ years of experience.
Class Fee: $45

Chamber Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra
This course will provide students an opportunity to further their study of traditional and contemporary string literature. It will involve practice and performance preparation. This course will serve as a feeder for the Symphony Orchestra upon acquisition of skills. Appropriate performance attire will be required.
This course strives to apply previous knowledge and experience to further advancement of ability and technique specific to your instrument. Techniques will be taught and mastered to prepare for advancement into Symphonic Strings. Additionally, these techniques will be utilized in performances throughout the school year. This orchestra is designed for intermediate students with 3-5 years of experience.

Concert Orchestra
Concert Orchestra
This course will introduce the fundamentals of string playing through traditional and contemporary string literature, and will be the entry-level orchestra for string players. Appropriate performance attire will be required.
This course strives to (re)introduce students to orchestral techniques and their instruments. Concepts that will be taught include: techniques of your instrument, note-reading, rhythm, bow technique, tone, scales, and overall musicianship. This course will prepare students for advancement to higher level orchestra classes. This orchestra is designed for beginner/novice students with 0-3 years of experience.
